http://www.dfg.ca.gov/whdab/html/cwhr.html
The purpose of this website is to bring awareness to the arroyo toad and the threats it is facing. This little guy is in native to Southern California in the United States and Baja California in Mexico, and is threatened with extinction because of human development in that area.

Biodiversity is threatened globally due to human development and climate change brought on by human behavior. It is not our right as humans to decimate species that we share the earth with, but it is our duty to protect them and try to stop them from going extinct. Amphibians as a group is the most highly threatened group in the animal kingdom (10). Many amphibians, such as the arroyo toad, only live in one area. When that area is also prime real estate for humans, such as Southern California, then its only habitat may be threatened. Read on to discover some of the threats that are facing this particular amphibian.
